Previously it was a community’s meet market and was famous for its high quality meat. The business grew rapidly when it started delivering meat patties to the franchise of the young McDonald.
In 2016, British Safety Council awarded OSI Food Solutions with the Globe of Honor Award. The company got the award as a result of its commendable management of environmental risks. Also, its purchase completes the processing strengths of the company.
OSI Food Solutions also acquired a food processing plant and a storage warehouse in Chicago. The facility which is 200,000 square foot was previously managed by the Tyson Foods and is close to the company’s Chicago facility. The acquisition provides the company infrastructure that supports the continuation of its business. According to Kevin Scott the senior executive vice president of OSI Group, the purchase enhances the company’s abilities to meet their customers’ needs.
Lastly, the company purchased the Flagship Food Group’s Flagship Europe. Flagship Europe delivers frozen chicken, sous-vide pies, and products. Also, they supply sauces, mayonnaise, and dressings to the foodservice market of the UK. According to David McDonald, the president and CEO of OSI group, acquisition of this business enable the organization to broaden its Europe presence and serve its customers’ changing needs.
