Eric Pulier is an author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and public speaker based in Los Angeles, California. His roots can be traced back to Teaneck, New Jersey. He is a father to four children and lives with them all in Los Angeles.
Pulier studied in Teaneck high school where he graduated in the year 1984. In the same year Eric joined Harvard University. There he majored in American Literature and English. As a student in Harvard, he also took classes at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also actively participated in editorial duties at Harvard, where he was an editor and columnist. He graduated from Harvard in the year 1988.
After completing his studies, he settled in Los Angeles and started his first company, People Doing Things. That was back in the year 1990. The company focused on technological advancements that would better the quality of life in all sectors including education, healthcare etc. in 1993, he founded Digital Evolution which was an interactive company. From that time up to now, he has founded hundreds of companies. Mr. Pulier is also an investor for starting businesses based in the technology and media industry. He is also a venture capital investor.
Eric Pulier actively participates in the politics of this country. He is a strong supporter for the Democrats and even makes contributions to their initiatives. He was chosen to run the Bridge to the 21st Century, an event commemorating Bill Clinton and Al Galore on their second inauguration. Pulier has also worked with Morley Winograd who is the senior domestic policy advisor for the Vice President.
Like many other successful entrepreneurs, Pulier contributes to the society through funding and contributing to charitable organizations. He is a board member to Painted Turtle. This is a summer camp that supports children suffering from chronic illnesses. He is also on the board for the X-PRIZE foundation, an organization managing technological competitions aimed at bettering the quality of human life.
